For most of your brides out there, your budget does have a limit and it is important to budget before you start planning your wedding as well as keep tabs on your spending throughout the planning process. We are here to help make sure that you don’t go over budget on your wedding day so that you can think about financially planning for your future together as husband and wife!

We know that every couple’s budget is different, you could have a budget of $10,000 or $100,000 so here are some ways to factor it based on percentages:

Ceremony-5%

Wedding Attire/Rings-10%

Photography-9%

Videography-5%

Stationary-4%

Reception (catering, bar and venue rental)-35%

Music-5%

Cake-2%

Florist-6%

Décor-3%

Rental Items-3%

Transportation-2%

Gifts/Tips-3%

Rehearsal Dinner (typically this is paid for by the parents of the groom, if this is the case for you, allot this 4% elsewhere) -4%

Miscellaneous-4%

The national average cost of a wedding last year was $28,958 (for 120 guests). This varies greatly depending on the area of the U.S. you choose to host your wedding in as well as your guests count and vision for your big day. It is difficult to allot a certain dollar amount to each item because every wedding is so different. I always suggest brides and grooms make a list of their top 3 priorities and slightly alter their budget to best accommodate what is most important to them on the day of their wedding!

We hope the list above is a good starting point for you. Keep following us for future posts that dig deeper into planning for your big day and you can always feel free to contact Evviva Events with questions, we are here to help!

Happy Planning!
