You’ve been so excited planning your reception that oops…you forgot that you actually need to get married the day of your wedding! To you, the ceremony may just be a prelude to your big bash but it is very important that you do not overlook choosing meaningful songs to incorporate into this most special time. If you have no idea what songs you need to choose, we are to the rescue! See our top 5 list here:

1) Song for grandparents and parents to be escorted into

2) Song for bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to (the flower girl and ring bearer may walk down to this song as well)

3) Song for YOUR grand entrance

4) Songs throughout the ceremony (this could be a live performance, singing out of a hymnal or a track playing during your unity ceremony)

5) Song to exit to

Also, think about special songs that you may want played during the prelude (while guests are arriving) or while your guests are exiting the ceremony area. These are good places to incorporate those songs that you want to hear but just can’t find the perfect spot for. Live musicians or tracks are both acceptable for the ceremony but just make sure that you have appropriate sound equipment depending on the size of the wedding and the venue.

Most of these ceremony songs should be slow in tempo but for your exit, we think rules should go out the window! Have fun, play an up-tempo song that you and your bridal party can dance down the aisle to. This will get all of your guests ready to party as they enter the reception too! Don’t forget, you can always contact us if you need assistance with your ceremony!

Happy Planning!
