Your big day is upon you and you just figured out it’s going to rain on your wedding day! Eeeek! Don’t freak out, here’s a little tenting 101 for you regardless of whether you are planning ahead for your big day or it’s a last minute decision!
If you are renting a tent, here is a list of things that you need to consider renting in addition:
Walls
Flooring
Lighting
Staging
Heating or cooling
Pole covers and/or drapery
Restroom Trailors (depends on the venue)
Generators (depends on the venue)
*For pricing, don’t forget to factor in that you will be charged a delivery and set-up fee!
Some things to consider with tenting:
-Weather/time of year…we always suggest putting up a tent a few days ahead of time so if it rains, the ground below stays solid, especially if you are not putting down flooring!
-It may seem simple but make sure all of your vendors drop off/pick up large items before scheduling the tent to go up/come down, otherwise, everything will be sitting outside exposed!
-If you choose not to tent and you are hosting your ceremony and/or reception outdoors, have a back up plan!
-Always have a site-visit with your rental vendor ahead of time to make sure the size of the tent works in your space and you have ample time for set up. You can never plan ahead enough!
Here are some top notch vendors for tenting in Nashville! The great news is that most companies that offer tents also have all of the other rentals you would need for your event (tables, chairs, linen, china, glassware, flatware, etc.)!
Happy Planning!
